After last week’s emotional results show, I cannot wait for tonight’s eliminations. It’s my birthday, so I positively DEMAND that things go my way tonight. There will be TWO contestants going home, and I’m so nervous, I could puke.
American Idol Season 10 — Top 11, Take Two
Lately, my predictions have been way off. But that doesn’t mean I’m not right. Nope, it just means that America is wrong. So very terribly wrong.
UPDATE: I WAS RIGHT!! Oh, sweet victory, I was right! Praise be to Jesus. However, I must admit, that I would not have guessed that Paul McDonald would be in the Bottom 3.
Of course, Scotty picked the one country song that Elton John ever recorded.
Also: Way to end the song on the right note, Scotty! For you slow-minded fools, that was sarcasm.
Naima Adedapo: GET OUT OF MY FACE, I beg you!
She might be “still standing”… but not for long. She is just terrible. I cannot, and WILL NOT stand for one more week of this terrible singer, or her ugly teeth.
Also: Stop with the Reggae! We get it, you’re “different,” and that’s putting it nicely. This is American Idol. If you wanted to do Reggae every single week, you could do that on the streets, where you belong.

Paul McDonald: Staying (Update: Bottom 3. Shock of the night!)
Pauly M. sang “Rocket Man,” and I loved it. The song always makes me think of Stewie’s rendition on Family Guy, so I would’ve loved it no matter what. Unless Naima sang it, that would’ve ruined it, and I’d be angry beyond words.
Also: I die every time Paul wears his flowery suit. I love it so much!
Ugh, whatever. Just whatever. I don’t hate her, but I don’t love her either. She did sing really well, I’ll give her that. I can’t wait for next week. She better not sing another ballad, SHE PROMISED!!!
Also: Why is her face all smushed into the center? I guess she can’t really help that, but it’s slightly weird.
Stefano Langone: Needs to Stay
I love this guy. I also loved how he and J.Lo had a little moment at the end of the song, and held hands. Aww, love.
Also: He still can’t fully open his eyes. At this point, I think I would be disappointed if he did.
I don’t think this was her best effort. I take issue with some of the off-pitch notes she sang in the beginning. She’s usually great though, so I forgive her.
Also: She should be glad Naima is still here, or her dress would’ve been the ugliest outfit of the night.
James Durbin: Staying
AMAZING! I love this guy, he is such a great performer. He is fun week after week. Just great. Thanks for not being boring, James!
Also: Loved the flaming piano bit. LOVED it.
I also loved when he brought up Pepsi… on a show largely promoted by Coca-Cola.
I like that she was singing to her brother. But that’s not enough to save her. Not in my book, anyways. She needs to leave.
I have no “Also” side-notes for Thia. She’s that boring.
Casey Abrams: He absolutely MUST stay!
LOVE! I have loved Casey from the beginning. He is so talented, and he’s a real musician. Respect. Respect dat.
Also: I still can’t believe he almost went home last week. I weep every time I re-watch last week’s results episode. And I do re-watch it. Parts of it, anyways.
Jacob’s definitely back! And I hope he’s here to stay. At least for a few more weeks.
Also: American Idol needs to get better backup singers. Seriously.
Haley Reinhart: Staying!
Haley freaking BLEW ME AWAY! We’ve had our ups and downs throughout this competition, but this week’s performance had me bobbing my head and tappin’ my toes. Loved it. I was definitely not expecting to love it this much. Good job Hay Hay!
Also: I absolutely loved the way she hissed out every “s”. So great.
First AI post read…and the only reason is because the phrases “IQ” and “zero” caught my eye. Oh, how right you are about that correlation.
